At Small Screen Talent we pride ourselves on having a clear and simple fee structure. Unlike many other weekend drama academies, we do not charge hefty term fees, instead our classes are paid monthly by standing order.
Our classes run for 42 weeks of the year and academies have 10 weeks holiday – 2 weeks at Easter, 6 weeks at Summer and 2 weeks at Christmas.
We spread the cost of class fees across an entire 12 month period, meaning that parents continue to pay fees during holiday periods. This makes our classes even more affordable for parents and we also offer a sibling discount for 2 or more children from the same family who attend the same academy together.
Every term we hold a new intake “Taster Day”. These are completely free of charge for 2 weeks to allow all potential new students to come along and sample the magic of Small Screen Talent and what we can offer. Following this 2 week trial period, students will be expected to set up a regular monthly standing order.
Classes are paid for a month in advance and we require 1 calendar month’s notice should a student wish to leave.
The fees for 2019/2020 are as follows:
1 x Student = £63.64 per month
2 x Students (with sibling discount) = £109.10
Monthly class fees also cover the cost of our Small Screen Talent ‘Masterclass’ programme – where our students have the opportunity to learn new and important skills from industry experts and practitioners. This includes accent and dialect coaching and visits from casting directors and TV producers.
If your child is invited to join our agency, they will be expected to join “Spotlight” – the casting directory for actors. A 12 month Young Performer’s membership currently costs £98 including VAT (prices correct as of 2019) but this is paid to Spotlight direct.
